Our Rail and Drive tours are designed for those who want to focus on out-of-way remote destinations and are looking for smaller groups. These tours focus on a specific region or regions of Japan using a combination of public transportation with the flexibility of a passenger van and have a maximum limit of 8 tour members. These tours will include mainly out-of-the way, remote destinations with a few “must see” spots.
The Backroads tours concentrate on remote and isolated destinations, and typically concentrate on a specific area of Japan using public transportation. The group size is limited to 8 or 12 tour members depending on the itinerary.
